Urgent – participants for research project

Hi.

I’m an undergraduate studying social Inquiry at UTS in Sydney. As part of my coursework, I’m engaging in a small research project that involves interviewing former participants of reparative (or “ex-gay”) therapy who have since abandoned the attempt. Currently I’m having some understandable difficulties finding people to take part, given the somewhat personal nature of the topic.

So, if you have ever been through a form of therapy or ministry that was specifically intended to get you to “overcome homosexuality”, and have since abandoned any effort to do so, please contact me on either nhendo@gmail.com or on my university e-mail address of neil.j.henderson@student.uts.edu.au, to arrange a time or place for a face-to-face interview over the weekend, that will last about 30-40 minutes. All information will be anonymised, and you will be free to withdraw from participation at any time you want to, without needing to state a reason.
